Yum Yum Tree - Spelthorne

Good: The staff is extremely friendly and hospitable, providing fast and welcoming service. The restaurant is very clean and the menu offers a good variety of choices. However, the price for soft drinks is high at £3.60 per can. Not good: The drink prices are expensive and there is pressure to order more drinks. The wait staff seems to encourage customers to drink quickly in order to order more. The restaurant serves drinks in large glasses and insists on pouring for you. The food is very salty, with the Hot & Sour soup being excessively salty. When requesting soy sauce, we were given Maggi seasoning instead. There is no physical menu for the Chinese buffet indicating the £24 price. Overall, despite these issues, I had a positive experience and will likely return in the future.

Have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years and have never had a bad experience.this week we celebrated a special event so had a take away delivered to the house food excellent everything we asked for and a complimentary bottle of wine for the birthday lady. Thank you ,you helped make our special evening a great night.

Me and my partner fancied a Chinese and was told Yum Yum was a nice place to go. When we arrived we were sat down and ordered drinks. I just wanted a glass of tap water, but the lady was charging me £2 so I decided to just get a coke. The food was very disappointing, the starters was okay, but the chicken wing looked like a dead mouse and had a cheesy twang to it. The duck was cold and had fatty bits, was defiantly not fresh. After the buffet I would normally be stuffed, but I couldn't eat as much as I would of liked too and would defiantly not be going here again. Be warned!!

Been here a few times before. Unfortunately, during this visit there were a lot of issues. My daughter found a piece of paper that was fried up with her prawns. We pointed this fact out to the manager but nothing was done. Also the house or normal water we asked for after ordering quite a few drinks came to us with floating sediments, and as such was undrinkable. The staff or the manager to be precise, clearly favoured the people he called his regulars. The rest of us just didn’t matter. I hope this place goes back to the way it used to be.

Had dinner here tonight (Sunday). Six of us had the buffet which was served by the excellent staff. Very attentive. We stop here when we are in the area. It looks as if it has had a fairly big refresh since we were here last and looks good both inside and out. Excellent food at a fair price. Would highly recommend.
