I really wanted to give them a good review, but honestly, it was disappointing. The restaurant had maybe 30 people the entire time we were there. We waited about 5-10 minutes before being seated, which was not bad at all. We then were seated. Our server came by shortly after to ask if we wanted appetizers or drinks. We asked for a few more minutes to browse the menu. When she returned, we ordered our dinner and a cocktail. Shortly after, the host brought over two rolls. I could tell the bread was made from scratch, but it didn't have a lot of flavor. The butter was cold, so much so you couldn't really spread it, and the rolls were room temperature. They were pretty average. We waited at least 30 minutes from the time we ordered before our drinks were brought out. I had the lava flow, and my husband had the beach house punch. The lava flow was pretty good. The beach house punch was good, but it was definitely strong. The drinks were a bit pricey, around $14-15 per drink. After an hour of waiting, our food finally came out. We ordered the Tuesday specials $12 each), spaghetti and meatballs, and chicken fettuccine. My husband's spaghetti was scorching hot, and the meatballs were slightly burnt. I dipped my bread in the sauce, and it mostly tasted like tomatoes. My fettuccine was dry and honestly tasted more like an olive oil based sauce. I will say that my grilled chicken was really good. My husband said my dish tasted like day old fettuccine. The server brought out a piece of tiramisu to go and apologized for the long wait time. I thought that was a nice gesture. I tried a bite when we got home, and it kind of reminded me of a basic cake with coffee flavoring. I dislike posting reviews like this, but I do feel that honesty is important and that it's a learning opportunity for the restaurant. I personally won't be back, but I hope others have a better experience.
What a fabulous find! Excellent food, service.... We will be back for sure. This is easily one of Spokane's hidden gems when it comes to eating establishments. Don't be fooled by the fact that it is in a strip mall! You will not be disappointed.
We felt that the staff were pleasant, the food was good and fairly priced. Two recommendations; tone down the music, and have the wait staff all wear similar and professionally looking attire.
This was a hidden Italian gem. Coming from the New York/New Jersey area, I think we know what excellent Italian food is. This was excellent. Authentic, delicious, and pasta made on site not out of a box. The Italian gravy was wonderful. The meatballs were some of the best I have ever had. And the beer and wine menu, as well as cocktails if that is what you are after, were also excellent. Definitely worth a try.
This place appears to be intended for an expensive date. Prices are steep for the amount of food given. So don't come here thinking you're going to get stuffed off of one dish. Like I said, if you plan on wooooing your date with a expensive meal with smaller portions, then you're at the right place.I'll give it to them tho, the atmosphere is Grade A. Reminded of a cigar lounge at Harvard. Fancy, wood, wine bottles, and more wood. The roasted shrimp skewer pesto was very pesto forward, but I felt like royalty eating each charred shrimp while remembering how expensive the dish was. Wow.They had a film playing on the projector, and a fancy chess board. It was ok imo, but hey, take your date here if you want to impress and show him/her that your pockets are full of money and you have great taste in restaurant atmospheres.
