I had very fond memories of A&W as a child and an adult. Seeing this A&W in Spring Valley every time I would drive from St. Cloud, Mn to Fulton, Mo. I don't expect to stop there again. Service: Take out
I waited at the counter for 20 minutes, no one came to serve me even though I knocked on the door to get their attention, so I had to go out to the outside speakers in order from there and then the server had the worst attitude I've seen in a server. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20
Slow service, but overall great food. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20
I'm 5 starring this because of the ambience of an old fashioned drive-in that we are told has been there since the days of old. Cars pull up, order through a speaker and a car hop brings you food. They have fantastic old fashioned root beer floats! Their food is typical of other kinds of fast food, to expect a gourmet experience would be silly. Shakes, malts, floats, burgers, fries, onion rings, etc is what you can expect. There are many spots to pull up and order from your car, they also have a small indoor space for dining and a grassy area with some tables and iconic statues where you can eat too. It is a unique and quirky place to stop along highway 63.
Went into lobby and sat at the counter waiting to order my food. No one came to take my order. Went somewhere else that wanted my business.
