King Harvest Restaurant and Tavern

I should first say I have never eaten in this restaurant. I went in once and turned back around because it didn't look like anyone was around... kind of odd. I have however been past it many, many times, at different times of day. There is never anyone there. Maybe it is only open at night? However, I would exercise caution going to this restaurant. There is something odd about it.

We ordered late and they were open until 12, where most were closed by 10. Lemon chicken was awesome, lots of meat with non greasy batter and light sauce on the side. Housin beef very fresh and interesting yummy spring rolls. They included plates which I thought was nice since we were at a hotel. Ask for extra soya sauce as we only got 1 pack. Would definitely order again.

We had a lot of Chinese food along our adventures some good some bad this one was great. We requested no msg due to allergies . The chow mein was very good and tasty vegetable crisp tender not over cooked the chicken was moist and juicy . The wonton soup was excellent but needed some shrimp in it . Very nice people who run it

Never been to this establishment and will most likely never go! Specializing in Szechuan/Cantonese Cuisine apparently, however our dinners were both terrible, lukewarm when received. Both sick the next day probably due to not keeping food at correct temperatures in their establishment. Say they offer Free Delivery but you better inquire further. We were charged $5 Delivery because we were told we were out of the delivery area (we are less than 2 km away from the restaurant). However I noticed after that the new menu we received with this food has the minimum for free delivery now at $35 instead of $30 (written over in pen). We were not told this when we ordered. Terrible food - really bad customer service. Bad (I'd rate lower than 1 if I could.)

The Chinese food at this restaurant is excellent, with a large menu and a great atmosphere. The fried rice, sweet and sour pork, lemon chicken, and chicken balls with sweet and sour sauce are some of the best I've had outside of Toronto. I have visited this restaurant many times and have had a positive experience every time. The family that runs this place is very sweet and it feels good to support a local business.
