Shawarma Bites - St. Catharines

I can't believe this place isn't rated number one. I assume it would be without the biased reviews from the previous management. I rarely take the time to review a restaurant unless it is excellent, and this place definitely deserves it. I had the best Shawarma plate of my life here. You can smell the BBQ chicken grilling from the outside and it tastes just as good as it smells. The garlic sauce over the roasted potatoes was amazing. The side salad was made with care, with fresh tomatoes and onions, as well as pickled turnips which added an authentic Middle Eastern flavor. The owners were friendly and proud of the food they served, and rightfully so. They even impressed a very picky eater like myself. Well done gentlemen!

Oh my gosh, I was out of town and returned to what I thought was an amazing restaurant, but was extremely disappointed. The food was awful!!!! I realized that the restaurant is under new management, not a miracle worker. Don't waste your money and time. The taste was terrible!!!

Disgusting. Got the chicken swarm and the chicken was as dry as cardboard, the sauce became rancid and the bread was so old that it was like chewing on Ruck. The restaurant was greasy and unkempt. I tried this place so you don't have to. Whatever you do, don't go here. McDonald's has a lot, much better quality food and I have seen Gad Station bathroom that were cleaner.

I LOVE this place, she made homemade wraps and it was the most delicious falafel I've ever had. Then I went after the new owners and I had to throw away as disgusting as poison. Not to be rude, but with... what you know and it is not falafels!!!!

Since the place was sold the quality and cleanliness has completely depleted. Tried it for the first time since it was sold and there was a hair in the salad and a big bone in the wrap. The veggies looked old, the garlic sauce has...no flavour, the rice was cold and kept in a container on the counter. It also looked very dirty. Would never go back or recommend to anyone.
