Honolulu Grill - St. George

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. I ordered three chicken katsu plates, but they refused to let us eat inside because we had food from another fast food place. We spent over $50, and they ended up kicking us out. The customer service was awful, and I wouldn't recommend this place.

I always enjoy this place for a fast meal or when I need catering for a large group.

The food is consistently excellent. I had a wonderful experience with Mark, who was attentive and friendly. We connected over our shared experiences with injuries, and he noticed my polite demeanor.

The dining area was bustling with a long line to order when we arrived, but it moved quickly, and the place eventually slowed down. We opted to dine in instead of getting take-out and decided to share a three-meat platter between the two of us. Wow, the food was delicious! Coming late in the day can sometimes be hit or miss for pulled pork at various restaurants, but the pork was incredibly moist during dinner. The garlic chicken was tasty with a nice kick at the end, and the chicken katsu was flavorful, although I wish it had come with some gravy. The mac salad was delightful. The service was excellent, with the staff taking great care of the dining area by keeping the tables and floors clean. We appreciated how they regularly checked in with customers, even though it’s counter service.

This popular spot offers outstanding Hawaiian cuisine. The kalbi here surpasses that of many Korean restaurants, and the mac salad is truly authentic. They also serve island-inspired drinks and spam musubi, although I would prefer a bit less rice in the musubi. The portions are generous.
