Himal - St Johann in Tirol

This Indian restaurant had a few vegan options and they were clearly labeled on the menu. The owner was very friendly and was eager to help us in choosing off the menu. We ordered for starters the vegan dumplings. For main course we ordered the chickpeas in spicy sauce and the vegan balls in masala sauce. This came with vegan naan bread! The owner assured us that the man was vegan. All of the food was tasty! Highly recommend. UPDATE Sept 2023 Went back to this restaurant and they now go by a new name: Shiva. Different owners but same menu and same vegan options. Except now there’s no vegan nan. Updated from previous review on 2021-09-23

The restaurant is very run-down, for example, with drooping curtain rods. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The menu includes many vegan dishes, and everything was very tasty.

Has a couple vegan options, around 3 i believe. Was very tasty! When i asked if the naan bread they bring with every meal was vegan they said it wasnt, but they then brought me vegan naan bread! Good pricing too.

Wir haben ausgezeichnet gegessen, vegan und glutenfrei waren kein Problem und vor allem super lecker. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, wir werden beim nächsten Besuch in St. Johann in Tirol bestimmt wieder kommen!

Sehr gutes Essen, Tomatensuppe, Teigtaschen und Lamm waren köstlich. Wohne seit meiner Geburt in der Gegend und dieses Restaurant ist mir nie aufgefallen. Sehr empfehlenswert.
