Swany's Pub Grub - St. Johns

They serve the best mushrooms, and the dishes are prepared just perfectly. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but I consider them typical for pub food.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but I don't feel that tips should be mandatory. An 18% tip seems quite high for a town like St. John's. Because of this, I will choose to dine elsewhere where I have the freedom to decide on my gratuity. Not everyone works for the state or a big company like GM.

We enjoy visiting Swany's for breakfast after church. The waitstaff is incredibly friendly and professional, always greeting us with smiles and a noticeable joy in their work. I highly recommend this place for breakfast, and we will certainly make it a regular stop in the future.

My son and I drove there from Lansing MI Saturday evening to get one of your famous burgers I have heard nothing but great raves about, but we were not the least impressed, we only get cheese on our burgers so you can really get a good taste of the meat, it was not real good at all, it had a different taste to it, almost a spoiled taste, I am sure people who get all the condiments on there burger would barely taste the meat but when you only get cheese you really taste the meat, living in Lansing we have some great burger places which puts your burger to shame, the place is Kewpees, you should try it sometime, you would never go to Swany's again

This is a fantastic little place in downtown St. John's for lunch or dinner. They offer a variety of delicious burgers, all served on their amazing homemade fluffy buns. If you're in the mood for fries, you can also enjoy them battered! I will definitely be returning.
