Went there after church for Jiggs Dinner lunch. Meal was fantastic with lots of food but cost is little high compared to other locations in the area.
I recently went to Lester's Farm for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Strangely we were the only ones there. The service was friendly and efficient. The coffee was wonderful- Jumping Bean fresh roast. The food was plentiful and satisfying. The menu was varied from traditional eggs and meat offerings to omlettes, pancakes and french toast. The homemade bread was delciious as was the homemade strawberry jam.I would certainly recommend this as a spot to go for a lovely breakfast or brunch with the family or a group of friends. When I asked the server if it was strange there was no one else around at 1030 am on a sunday morning she said it varies- sometimes large groups of people come through and other times very quiet. The price was good also- about $25 for 2 people for a large breakfast with coffee.
Everything about the experience was wonderful - the food, atmosphere, and service were all above par. All of the food was local and delicious, and it's such a unique experience. I'm pretty surprised by the negative reviews here! There has either been MUCH improvement since the previous reviews, or the previous reviewers were being too harsh. Either way, I will be back! :)
We booked a package that gave us a horse drawn sleigh ride and a pancake breakfast. The ride was lovely. It was beautiful weather, our driver Farmer Jim was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the farm as we drive. It was a fairly short loop we went but took about 20 min as he pointed out livestock and described pieces of life on their farm. I really did enjoy myself and my two year old thought it was lots of fun. He even let us take turns to get pics with the horses after the ride. The breakfast was ok. Served on paper plates, which I thought very odd for a sit down meal. The service was friendly but not great...even though there were only a couple if tables we had to ask for everything (like a syrup refill). My meal was cold and the self-serve juice was warm. The hot chocolate (with marshmallows and whipped cream) was to die for. Overall it was a lovely experience but I don't think I will be back to the restaurant.
