Sequerra's Restaurant - St. John's

We've been going to Sequerra's for years and it's really the only Chinese food I really like. Their General Tao Chicken as well as the Spicy Black Bean Chicken is amazing. Everything is always fresh and tasty!

This restaurant seems to have been around for years and I likely passed by hundreds of times without even knowing it was there. Located in a strip mall next to the SPCA Thrift Shop it is easy to miss. I was told about it by a friend (Paul) who said it was his favourite so I decided to check it out. I opted for two combination dinners, specifically L2 and L4. I despise chicken balls. There was enough food to easily feed 6 people. This would be under $30 ......... for 6 people? Do the math. Unlike many inexpensive Chinese takeouts, it was not all just noodles, rice and batter. It was mostly vegetables and meat products with delectable sauces.

My family was treated to a Fathers Day Feast by our children. The food was plentiful and delicious. We even had leftovers for the next day. Value Meal for sure

My wife placed a take-out order and picked it up at 6. They brought the packaged food to the car. A 15 minute drive to home to serve the meal that was triple packaged, The food was carried out in plastic bags but was also wrapped in paper bags. Inside the paper bags the food was protected in high quality plastic containers. Sequerra's went extra steps to ensure safety, quality, clean and hot food. It all tasted fantastic.

This place has great service and better food. I can taste the difference between the individual dishes, even the buffet servings. Salt content is low as well. Most Chinese restaurant's I find the food all taste the same and it is heavily salted to the point that I need lots of water afterwards. Not this place. It is good.
