Mammy's Boy Chip Shop - St Kilda

Needing a quick dinner, I stumbled across mammy's Boy Chip Shop. I ordered a Dirt Bird Burger (southern fired chicken fillet, tomato red onion, lettuce, taco sauce and garlic sauce on a brioche bun), small chips and a can of soft drink. Cost $23.00. I did take-away, to go back to my hotel room. The burger was awesome. Great flavour, good size. LOVED IT.The chips were average. Though they were English style cut chips, they tasted like they had been cooked in old oil, plus they forgot to salt them. So when I go back to my hotel room, I dint have access to any salt :(Service was quick. But luckily I asked the girl to repeat my order as she had written down the wrong burger... i could of got a beef burger instead of my chicken burger.Not sure I would return.

The delivery option was disabled again, and no one answered the phone. Either stop offering delivery service altogether or hire more staff to handle busy times. It's simple.

Expensive, small serves. Chips tasted like they were cooked in oil from the last century even the seagulls won't eat them. My son who usually eats everything and isn't fussy said he wouldn't eat there again even if they were giving the food for free. Very disappointed expecting more being this close to the ocean.

Reminds me of home Fish and chips back in London. Chips are great, battered sausage isn't bad either! Great location

This was my third visit to Mammy's Boy and each time I encountered some kind of issue. The first time, we waited around 45 minutes for just two orders of chips. The second time was similar, but the high quality of the food made us overlook the wait and we continued to order. However, this time was a different story. We ordered three burgers, two battered sausages, chips, etc. and arranged for Deliveroo to deliver it. We placed the order around 7:40 pm, but by 9 pm, the food still hadn't arrived. We received a phone call informing us that half of our order had been forgotten and the Deliveroo driver was on the way with only half of our meal. This was unacceptable. When the first delivery finally arrived, all the food was cold, the chips were soggy, and the quality was not up to par with our previous experiences. Despite our complaints about the separate deliveries, we were offered no solution or compensation. The food finally arrived a second time, and they also resent the first order. However, one of the burgers was missing all its fillings, consisting only of the bun. The entire process took almost 3 hours, leaving a house full of unhappy and hungry people. This experience has made us think twice about ordering from here again. The service was poor.
