The Toasted Monkey - St Pete Beach

Great music, good times. Today, the music was great, Thomas the bartender, as usual, was on his game. Can't say enough about how we always enjoy this place.

At first glance, The Toasted Monkey has a cheesy familiarity. The decor lacks any style or soul. But there’s much more substance here than meets the eye. It’s a busy restaurant and bar with a laid-back demeanor that suits its St. Pete Beach locale. And it’s very serious about its cocktails, its food and live music. Fresh seafood is a bit of an oxymoron. I came here looking for truly fresh, caught seafood. They do not disappoint. The atmosphere is definitely very low-key. If you're wearing shoes with laces instead of flip-flops, you're overdressed. Hawaiian shirts and board shorts are definitely the norm. Not only is the service top shelf and drinks way beyond expectations, but I could write a novel with praise for bartender Tash. You will just have to experience her for yourself. I can't recommend Tash enough and look forward to more festivities at The Toasted Monkey.

HELL OF A PLACE!!!! first time ever going and it was AWESOME!!!! AWESOME FOOD AWESOME SERVICE..our server was hot and very friendly. Thanks guys we will definitely be back... see ya soon

We went here awhile back when it was still part of the Howard Johnson, the food and ambiance was amazing and very memorable we came back today with the dogs and stopped at the new location the food was just as amazing as before We were seated very quickly, the person working the parking lot was great, but there was one server I unfortunately didn't catch his name that went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, when the band came they played obnoxiously loud and the music wasn't very good (given we requested to be reseated as soon as they began because of how uncomfortable they made the animals and myself with their loud and poor playing so they could have improved from how bad they started but I am not sure) The server who helped first was going to look into speaking with the manager to help with the bad live music but we also didn't want to disrupt people who did want to participate in the bands attempt at creating music so he offered to help us move to a different spot, walked myself and buddy as well as waited while we got our dogs together to the upstairs part, made sure we were comfortable, brought a umbrella from the back to give us shade, brought a new bowl of water for my dogs, and went COMPLETELY ABOVE AND BEYOND and was so understanding about everything did not make me feel bad as someone who has autism and sensory issues rather helped to diffuse the situation and provide solutions I wish I knew this servers name because although he didn't continue helping us the time that he did assist made a huge impact and I am very grateful! Thank you so much for your kindness today sir and I hope this message gets back to you

Kristen was amazing, she was so attentive to our needs and was there when needed, I would recommend sitting at her table everyday. Her smile and attitude was top notch, was easy to speak to and conversed very well… I would recommend sitting at her table on the top of toasted monkey!
