Bavaro's Pizza Napoletana & Pastaria-St Pete

Friendly fast service with good pizza. Just ask to make it vegan and they have vegan cheese

Friendly service and best pizza around. I ordered the vegan option pizza. So yummy!

My girlfriend and I love vegan friendly St. Pete, and one day we were walking down Central Avenue while I was getting hungry. We walked past Pizza Box, which got me thinking I would like pizza. Even though nothing indicated this would be a vegan friendly establishment, I peeked inside the door and saw “plant based“ on a poster that was hanging on the wall, so we decided to go inside to check it out. There are a couple of pizza options listed on HappyCow, but this place was not. I figured I’d take a risk and ask. To my surprise, the staff happily informed us they had vegan cheese after we walked in! We ordered just a cheese pizza which was absolutely delicious! They prepare it in a wood fired oven and can make almost any pizza vegan with Follow Your Heart. This isn’t well advertised they list “dairy free cheese” in the toppings box. I hope they update their menu to make it more obvious (writing this in Feb 2020). But, the pizza is totally delicious. We even went back a couple of days later and got another pizza that was amazing also. I haven’t had a pie quite like that since going vegan, I would go so far to say even. The hippy vibes atmosphere fits perfectly in the artsy St. Pete scene. Highly recommend for a good pizza spot.

This restaurant never disappoints! The Italian cuisine here is the best in St. Petersburg.

We had a party of 8 last Saturday evening before the Rays game, and Bavaro's exceeded our expectations! The food was amazing, the drinks were perfect, and the service was fantastic - very friendly and efficient. The burrata pizza and the prosciutto pizza were especially delicious, but everything we ordered was excellent.
