Datz - St. Petersburg

The front-of-house service was fantastic, with friendly staff and delicious cocktails. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the same standard. The server, who seemed knowledgeable, mentioned that the dishes could be inconsistent. The sausage gravy on the country fried steak was more like a thick paste than actual gravy, lacking any sausage flavor. As for the mac and cheese appetizer, it resembled a soupy version of the dish; our server even mentioned that it wasn't typical, which made me doubt the kitchen's quality control.

This restaurant is a great choice for burgers and sandwiches. We tried their special burger, which features two fried squares of mac and cheese as the "buns." Inside, there are two flavorful patties along with the usual toppings of lettuce, tomato, and pickles. It's definitely an extravagant burger—delicious and a bit greasy. We could only manage half in one sitting, but it’s definitely worth a try. The sandwiches come with chips instead of fries, but they serve delicious kettle-cooked chips. We also ordered wings, which were tasty; I'm not sure about them being "jumbo," but they were definitely good. The sweet tea was fantastic, and the staff was incredibly friendly.

I share the same sentiment as others regarding the food being overpriced for what it is, but the atmosphere and customer service more than compensate for that. We had an excellent server who provided excellent suggestions and exceptional service. I would definitely return. Two thumbs up!

I ate on Friday in datz for lunch and had the place for me. thought the layout and the inner was super neat and loved that she decorated. I had the land fried steak and my friend had the Cuban, we both loved our meals. I couldn't finish mine and had enough for rest. I saw that they had a small bakery area, so there is a lot of space to spread out. nice staff, very clean, I would go back totally

Great about the top food at a good price. wait an hour. old fashions are amazing. bourbon selection is amazing. I had a few eagel rare bourbon here with my impossible burger. children love eating. a very special walk in the inner city of st. petersburg.
