The Wayfarer - Stafford

The dining experience was enjoyable with decent portions of deliciously cooked meat and a great variety of vegetables served with our Sunday roasts. The coffee and teas were excellent. The young ladies serving us were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was clean, bright, and inviting. However, there were a few challenges we faced. As a deaf customer, I rely on internet transcription services, and although they offered free WiFi, it was difficult to access and required registration and sign-up for marketing purposes. Additionally, when we asked for the bill, we were presented with a mobile device that prompted us to leave a review before payment, which was not clearly communicated. While the food was excellent, these issues detracted from the overall experience.

My group of 12 coworkers went to the restaurant, which was nearly empty. Despite requesting a table in the main dining area, we were seated in a separate room. There was no table service for drinks or wine menus. I ordered the vegan burgers, which were overcooked and dry, and the zucchini starter was very oily. Overall, the food was either average or poor, with some dishes being too sweet or dry. The sauces we requested never arrived, and I had to leave my meal to inquire about the bar. None of the staff checked in on us during our meal. We had a pleasant evening but were disappointed by the lackluster service and food quality. Perhaps they had a busy lunch rush, but that was not our experience.

I visited this restaurant on 27/04 for lunch and had an excellent experience. Our waitress, Kaci, was fantastic - polite, professional, and provided very personalized service. We ordered the tempura salad, filet steak, and chicken shawarma, all of which were really delicious. The wine selection was also excellent. My only feedback would be to use 250ml wine glasses. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

A family birthday meal for a group of us, hoping that the service would be on a high standard, as the restaurant was not busy for a bank holiday weekend. but that was not the case. Many try to keep the waiter up. a disappointment of eating for the price with hard bratkartoffeln and bad bark cuts. a first attempt for us, but unfortunately we were not impressed.

I’ve eaten here many times over the couple of years and have always had a positive experience. Food has always been to a standard that is better than most in the area. Unfortunately my last visit was truly disappointing. After a terrible week my wife...and I decided to treat our selves. When we arrived we where sat between 2 families both with screaming children, as this was meant to be a relaxing evening we discussed asking to be moved and decided not to complain. The evening got worse by the younger tuning around bumping into our table and chairs. The parents continued to get drunk and start arguing while the staff continued to serve them regardless of other customers. When I mentioned this to the manager at the end of the evening he did apologies but as the meal for 2 cost £86, a token apology doesn’t really cut it . The price has gone up recently it’s a shame the restaurant has gone downhill.
