Írjon visszajelzéstWe have ordered from Kano a few times, and I am consistently impressed, especially given the many Stamford restaurants are somewhat mediocre. Food was great, packaging and presentation (and pho-actuations! are also very thoughtful. Nice to see a place that packages of soup in containers you can actually use.
Meat portion in the noodles are smaller than what is typical of thevsane price range, but I would like to see this place do well so here are some pointers... Maybe instead of just 2 shrimp tempuras in the ramen, increase it to 3 tenpuras. Or, have the option of 6 boiled shrines. Greentea cheesecake should be the highlight. Very few places in the are offer green tea cheesecake. Tips on deco the bamboo wallpaper on the upper portion on the windows should be removed so that the patrons can enjoy better street view I love the music here
I am a pho mania. I take 1 hour trips to New Haven every week for quality pho. I was super excited when I found out that Kano had pho. Unfortunately, it was not that great. It tasted more like Thai beef noodle soup than pho to me. It was ok. The beef included in the pho was also more like what you would expect from Thai noodle soup, unlike the thin raw slices you get for pho. They didn't have cilantro. I had never seen pho served without cilantro so that was interesting. My husband had tonkotau ramen and that was ok. It wasn't crazy salty as a lot of other ramen places so we actually liked that. The egg on the ramen was perfect so kudos for that. The service was great as there weren't that many tables when we went, but I did notice that the staff were not that attentive (I.e. they were all by the cashier when all of the tables were seated on the other side) Overall, I might go again to try other menus, but probs won't return for pho, which makes me sad.
Edited Review from two stars to four! Owner’s responsiveness and positive attitude towards reviewers are both commendable and exemplary. (1) Steamy Pho soup — I craved for more! I love the crunchy sprouts and well-sized noodles; it was served hot, and provided in generous serving size. (2) Chilled bubble tea served in medium size classical mug was so good, I ended up ordering TWO. (3) The fried rice was a little bit oily, but it has the egg and chicken flavor you will seldom get from a plain Chinese restaurant. Kano bar has gone extra mile by adding colors and texture by its use of nice vegetable combo. (4) The dumplings, though served in small size, came with an equal amount of salty and sweet soy sauce. Be sure to ask the waiter if you want the dumpling soaked or if you want it separate. You may end up asking for more! (Yes, it is delicious). Overall, the service was fast. Suggestion: It may be wise to ask the customers if they want everything served at once, or if it is ok to serve individual orders as they become available. Price- transparent and acceptable. My wife, and my child, got a reasonable dinner for less than $50 including tip. Try Kano bar and I hope you guys enjoy it as well.
Had a nice casual yummy dinner at Kano! Service was prompt and friendly, food was awesome, and it was very affordable! We had the dumplings, beef and meatball pho and the pad tai shrimp. Everything was very flavorful, and great portion sizes! We’ll be back next week to try the ramen!
