The Granton Inn - Standish

Great go-to place in town for business lunches. Fast, good quality, consistent, and friendly. The soups and specials are typically great.

We visited for the all-you-can-eat fried shrimp special, which came with a salad bar and a choice of potato. The shrimp were served hot and crispy, and the coleslaw from the bar was delicious. We also enjoyed friendly and efficient service. Although the square stucco building may appear uninviting from the outside, I encourage you to give it a chance.

I have dined here regularly during the fall season. The burgers are quite good, while the sandwiches I've tried, specifically the Philly Steak and Ham and Cheese, are just average. However, the soups are outstanding and clearly taste homemade. The wait staff has always been attentive, with some being friendlier than others, but none have been unfriendly. I've always visited for lunch, and although they open at noon, we've occasionally had to wait. Thankfully, it has never been overly busy during lunchtime.

Beer, burgers, and good service. Pretty eclectic menu with lots of choices. Recommend if you are in the mood for some bar food and beer while catching the game.

Fantastic burger! Authentic beef, perfectly soft buttered bun, and delicious hash browns. Don't judge a place by its appearance!
