Vandy's -b-q (downtown) - Statesboro

I had the big BBQ sandwich on light bread (sandwich bread) It was served quickly and was as good as I remembered. Gin was the server and was friendly, efficient and helpful.

I was hungry, it was 7am and I was in Statesboro. Vandy's was open and fixed me some grub. I found comfort listening to the fellows talking about the day to come. A good start to a long drive.

Vandy's BBQ is a Statesboro icon! I have had many a good meals here in the past.. I will say that here lately the BBQ and sometimes be hit or miss. Now for the stew.. when the stew is on its game.. it's the best in Georgia!

Great bbq. Order the brisket. BBQ sandwich?s on plain white bread I didn?t like because they fall apart.

An outstanding BBQ pork sandwich. The sauce seems to be a vinegar/mustard based sauce and doesn't overpower the smoked (oak) pork. The Brunswick Stew is great, too full of vegetables and potato. It's been years since I've been and it's just as good as I remember it was
