Looking for some seafood in the heart of Stockholm on a rainy Tuesday evening in October, my wife came across B.A.R. online. It is conveniently located just a short walk from the harbor and the opera. The restaurant was bustling enough to create a lively atmosphere, yet not too busy at 8pm for us to secure a lovely table by the window without a reservation. We both agreed that we enjoyed the best seafood we had ever eaten: I had the pike perch, while my wife had the sea bream; both dishes were grilled to perfection, maintaining their moisture. The sides were also delicious, especially the risotto and the beets with seasonal mushrooms. The service was friendly and efficient. To top it off, the bill was surprisingly reasonable, thanks to the weak SEK. We are looking forward to returning as this was a truly exceptional and memorable dining experience.

Some of the best seafood we had in Sweden. Wonderful dinner, great vibes, well priced. We ordered from the fish counter and our cod was fresh and tasty.
