On that day they had three soups on offer: Turkish lentils with porridge chili butter, lemon and roasted onion; French saffron served with lemon and dill aioli; Turkish yogurt soup. There was also a tortilla filled with Mac cheese and caramelized onion, served with salsa. And not to forget the different varieties of grilled cheese sandwich! I chose the French saffron soup and oh my word, it was incredible! I had no expectations as I generally have no big soup, but that was something else. The aromas were wonderful: the thick saffron sauce cream married well with the lemon dill aioli. The soup had large pieces of what tasted like pumpkin that filled it. I couldn't give up the grilled cheese as he looked tantalizing: my dreams of perfectly melted vegan cheese were true. Very decadent! Hornstulls marknad is a recurring market that is held every weekend (at least in summer). When I visited, there were mostly food trucks and a handful of hands selling crafts and second hand clothes. There is a large seating area overlooking the water on the promenade, which runs for several kilometers behind the Tantolunden Park. Very recommended at What'soup!

I opted for the French saffron soup and oh my word, it was incredible! I didn't have any expectations as I'm not big on soup in general but this was something else. The flavours were wonderful: the thick saffron-tinged creaminess married well with the lemon-dill aioli. The soup had large chunks of what tasted like pumpkin which made it filling. I couldn't pass up the grilled cheese as it looked too tantalising and granted: my dreams of perfectly melted vegan cheese came true. Felt very decadent!
