Mimi's Barbacoa Tacos Tamales

This review is strictly for the all meat barbacoa! Very tender meat with little to no fat and not greasy. I really don't care much for the corn tortillas or salsa which is no big deal because I can get that elsewhere. For just all meat barbacoa, I do recommend Mimi's.

I love supporting local small businesses and decided to try this spot on a Sunday morning. Unfortunately, the barbacoa was not very good. It tasted like they just boiled meat. Zero flavor at all. It cost $14.99 for a pound and it only comes with a side of salsa. No onion or cilantro unless you pay for it. The salsa was also pretty flavorless and bitter. Spent about $21 here for barbacoa, 12 corn tortillas, cilantro and onion, and the salsa. Gentleman at the front was also pretty rude. Likely not coming back, mostly because of the poor taste of the food.

Employees are great there but their tacos are even better. My mother and I used to go here all the time so I still go by a lot since she passed. It brings back memories.
