For appetizers, we enjoyed the shrimp tacos and brussel sprouts, which were both delicious. The main dishes of seafood linguine, margarita pizza, and Cornish hen with a unique pineapple jalapeño dip were all satisfying. The dessert of funnel cake was a standout. The only minor flaw was the mojito, which could have been improved with a whole lime instead of a squeezed lime slice. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience.
Visiting family in the area, I’ve gone to the restaurant before and had mixed experience. Tonight we had a wonderful dinner and that is an understatement, our server Brenda was simply outstanding. The food was very well cooked and fresh, they were also very accommodating to our two year old daughter, cooking a special pasta for kids for her which she loved. Overall we did not want to leave and stayed for coffees and can’t wait to come back. Credit to the Fishbone staff and management for such a wonderful experience.
Excellent lunch for the 3rd time at Fishbone. Always quality food with lots of variety. Oysters are 5 star and well worth it. Kudos to the chef who never disappoints. Top notch service from Debbie; personable, fun and attentive to our every detail. Will definitely come back for the food and ask to sit in her section. A great asset to the team.
The anchovies/boquerones are worth a try, spicy they will overwhelm your palate for other dishes. Seafood like octopus, shrimp cervice, seared tuna are well-plated light meals. And burgers, fries and pizza for those who don’t want surprises. Musselman Lake is more of a tired pond providing a decent, not great, lakeside ambience.
On a beautiful, sunny day, we decided to check out Fishbone restaurant in Stouffville. The idea of dining with a view of the lake seemed perfect, but unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. The portion of octopus was surprisingly small considering the price of $40.00. The gem salad was overpriced and undersized, with wilted leaves. To our surprise, no bread was offered at the table. The wine list had steep prices starting at $60.00. Despite the good service and pleasant view, I would not recommend this restaurant.
