Fritz Bar Restaurant - STOWE

Located in the Stowehoff Inn, the Fritz Bar and Grill offers excellent vegan options. The menu has changed drastically from 4 years ago when no vegan options were available. What a nice surprise! The house salad and mushroom ragout were superb, in decent portions. The sides I ordered- the braised cabbage and the pickled vegetables- were excellent. Service was in the bar instead of the dining room, which is cozy but can get crowded pretty quickly. Make reservations.

Last year in September, I stayed in room 61 and dined at the restaurant only once during my stay. The meal was delicious and the service was excellent. A new, young waitress served me and she did a great job.

The Fritz is a hidden gem in Stowe, tucked away in the iconic Stowehof. It's a great spot for après with friendly staff and delicious food. Don't miss out on the burger and duck fat fries! The cozy atmosphere feels like a trip back to the 70s-80s. Despite being short staffed, the service was excellent. If you find yourself waiting for a table elsewhere in town, definitely give this place a try.

We had a wonderful dinner and evening at this restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, with a hidden feel due to the low ceilings, nooks and crannies, and a pool table. My chicken burger was delicious, and my boyfriend's steak was also very good. The cooking was excellent. I enjoyed a tasty wheat beer, while my boyfriend had a generous serving of Pinot Noir by the glass. It would have been nice to have the beautiful fireplace lit, as it would have added to the already cozy atmosphere, but it may have made the restaurant too warm. Our server was efficient and excellent. We enjoyed our experience so much that we plan on returning during our next stay at the fantastic Stowehof.

I had a great wheat beer and my boyfriend had a great pinot noir by the glass which was very generous in quantity. It would be nice to have the beautiful fireplace in use as it would add to the already very cosy atmosphere but maybe it is because it gets the restaurant too warm. Our server was great and efficient. We loved it so much that we will be back at our next stay at the incredible Stowehof.
