The Neighborhood Harvest - Suffolk

I can't comment on the food since I haven't tried it, but I have to say that their delivery drivers are quite problematic. They speed through our winding neighborhood in a large van, far exceeding the speed limit. This behavior is extremely dangerous and shows a complete lack of consideration for the children, dogs, and pedestrians who could be out on the streets.

Almost everything they serve comes in plastic. A few items are packaged in that rubbery, corn-based plastic, but most is the regular kind. They started offering a box of assorted vegetables, which I chose to minimize plastic waste. The first box was excellent, but by the second box, everything was back in plastic! Why? They also use silver bubble wrap bags for some items, but they don't accept these bags back, adding to landfill waste. I occasionally have issues with the food itself; sometimes it arrives with mold or has begun to rot. This isn't frequent, but for instance, the cherries I recently received had visible spots of white mold and looked like they had been out for over a week—shriveled and quite unappetizing. The peaches I received lately were completely inedible.

I absolutely love ordering fresh, local products from TNH! I've been using their services for several years now, and I'm consistently happy with my deliveries!

I've only ordered from The Neighborhood Harvest a few times, but the prepared meals have been delicious and very convenient for my family of four, who all have different tastes and preferences. Each order has arrived on time and has been placed in my cooler at the front door without any issues. I also appreciate the flexibility to select different items each week. I'm excited to try more options with my future orders. I highly recommend them!

Our driver is an incredibly kind young man. He always has a smile on his face and is very polite! And of course, all the produce and dairy – everything – is delicious!
