Írjon visszajelzéstWe booked the library for a wake and the service was discreet and efficient. There was plenty of fresh coffee, tea, and a good selection of buffet items including mixed sandwiches with smoked salmon, cheese, ham, and egg. The cakes were also very fresh and delicious.
If you stay at the Orwell then you have got to sample his Lordships Library.Relax with a pot of tea and the morning papers or at any other time of the day really. It's a step back into the age of Edwardian elegance.
The bar is very enjoyable with a nice selection of beer and food served as described. It is located in a quaint room resembling a Lord's library, complete with library books lining the walls. Some of the books even have stickers indicating they were donated by the reviewer.
Whilst this is more of an hotel lounge than a restaurant, I've no doubt that snacks, or even main meals would be available if required. The Orwell Hotel is most obliging. The bar in the library can satisfy your liquid refreshment requirements! The Buttery and main restaurant are only a few paces up the corridor where the range and quality of the food are both extensive and excellent. His Lordships Library is a little light on books these days but one can relax and on occasion listen to the resident pianist and other music recitals (when there maybe a modest entry fee).
The staff converted the room into a private dining room. Excellent food Excellent and attentive service
