The rustic decor creates a welcoming vibe, attracting a diverse crowd of tradespeople finishing their shifts, solo diners, and couples.

What ultimately made us leave was that we waited for 15 minutes without anyone coming to take our order or even offer us water. Meanwhile, other tables around us were being promptly served drinks and food. We understand that staffing can be a challenge, but it felt like we were completely overlooked, especially since we were the only ones in the booths at the time. After some time, we decided to leave. It seemed like a place that caters primarily to locals, which is unfortunate for us.

One day, as I was driving by, I was shocked to see my artwork displayed on their sign! I couldn't believe my eyes. I reached out to him, only to be informed that he didn't owe me anything because we didn't have a written contract. At that time, I was six months pregnant and decided to take him to court. It was my first experience in a courtroom, and I was young and overwhelmed, but I knew I was dealing with dishonest individuals. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse. I have suspicions that the owner might have had some connection to the judge, as he blatantly lied in court and faced no consequences. Not only did I lose the money owed for my work, but I also had to cover the court fees. Despite having all the documentation and emails proving my ownership of the logo, the judge remarked on how incredible it was that the artwork looked exactly like mine but sided with the owner when he denied using my design. Every Sunday, I drive past this place on my way to church, and it nauseates me that individuals like this can act with impunity. It's truly disheartening.

Calamity Jane's is absolutely amazing quality food for a great price. They are very welcoming of children, have art hanging up by children. This was my first time but definitely not my last time!
