Mellow Mushroom - Summerville

Mellow Mushroom serves some of the best pizza I've ever had. They let you customize your pizza exactly how you want it. We ordered a Meat Lover's pizza on one side and created a healthier option on the other, featuring tomatoes, onions, olives, and some meat. We opted for a medium size and had it double cut. The service has always been excellent; our server was attentive and frequently checked in to see if we needed anything, even though she had multiple tables to manage. They also offer outdoor seating. Overall, we have never had a negative experience there.

The pizza was delicious! The service was fantastic, and the restaurant was very clean. I only gave four stars instead of five because the pizza wasn't piping hot after the first bite. It might have been due to the toppings—I'm not sure. We usually stick to cheese or pepperoni when we order pizza, but this time we tried the House Special. This was our first visit to the Mellow Mushroom in Summerville, and we will definitely return!

We took advantage of Charleston Restaurant Week, and the food was incredible! The Holy Shitake dish is a must-try! The only downside was an issue we had with our server. He told us he would bring our drinks in 10 minutes, but when he finally did, he forgot to bring silverware. We had to remind him again. Other than that, the food was fantastic!

Good food, cool trendy atmosphere and great service! We both had calzones and they were awesome. Took some home for lunch tomorrow.
