Sea Shell Restaurant - Summerville

We stopped here an hour before the ferry departure wanting to get a quick bite before we left the island. The waitress was very rude when I asked for a menu ( she tossed it at me). Yes they do take out but an hour is not enough time??? This restaurant is located right across from the parking lot waiting for the ferry!!! I guess they don't want or need the business.

Friends took me there for dinner. It is a very busy restaurant, especially with the locals. Great location near the ferry landing, They have a lot of choices on the menu. We had fried fish with a Caesar salad and it was very good.

Nothing too bad to say, nothing good either. The food was very so-so, as was the menu and service. I will probably never go back.

I can't believe how long it takes for you to get your meal!!! They cook one thing a a time, never bring drinks to your table and make you feel like you're putting them out by asking.On the up side the food is fantastic!! That's why I keep going back

We were told by locals to check this place out if we were okay with seafood that has been battered and fried. We thought we'd give it a try. It is definitely greasy, but it was tasty. The serving size was pretty disappointing, though. We ordered a platter to share and it wasn't nearly enough for two. The price was too high for what we got. The service was pretty subpar. The server was very busy, and it caused her to act rather hostile and abrupt. The cook made each order one at a time, so we waited for over an hour for our food. The place is pretty worn out and definitely "no frills". If you go at the right time and are prepared for greasy fried food, it would probably be an okay experience, but we wouldn't go back.
