Smashburger - Summerville

Smash-burger is real food. They use beef tallow for fries, which is much healthier than (crisco[cotton-seed-oil], or canola), which has no place in a humans diet. Anyway, the burger and fries were great, and I'm glad we have one locally.

I’ve been here twice and first time it was good but second time ordered was bad experience. Ordered 2 Colorado burger with smash fries and truffle mayo on the side. When they brought the order out it was 2 regular burger and regular fries! So we had to wait and almost missed our movie. They have kids running the place and if you want a decent burger with great customer service go to Culver’s.

I ordered a double bacon double smash burger. I only got two pieces of bacon cut in half The menu shows a layer of bacon between the two patties and a layer on top with the veggies and condiments. I received one layer which was two pieces cut in half. I paid $30 and some change for two burgers and two sides. It’s sad that you don’t even get what you paid for anymore. This is the second and last time I will ever return here The prices should reflect what you are handling out to customers. By the way they have a phenomenal staff that takes very good care of their customers. I think the issues with portions are corporate problems. If you want great customer service then visit but if you’re expecting what you paid for no.

I really wanted this to be 5 stars! I live less than a mile away and have been meaning to try it, but we typically just end up at our usual dinner spots so I was REALLY excited when we decided to try it out for lunch the other day! Staff was friendly, menu looked awesome, we ordered bacon burgers, fries, tots, brussels and they have my favorite soda fountain, we were on such a roll! 2 bites into one of the burgers, a long hair cooked into the patty! That was it for us. I understand things happen, but for first impressions, this was about as bad as it gets. Super disappointed. I only gave the stars I did because the staff was super friendly and (other than the paper towel dispenser not working), the place looked cleaned and welcoming.

THE BEST burger in town!!!!!!! Once you had it you won’t eat anywhere else!!!! My whole family come at least once a week! My boys are in love with this place!!!! They said it’s the best burgers in Charleston!
