Steirerhut - Sundridge

I grew up in Vienna, Austria, and this was the most authentic Austrian meal I've had outside of my home country. The owner, Wilfred, spoke with us twice and prepares all the food himself. The Wiener Schnitzel tasted just like it does in Vienna, the Grießknödel soup was just like my grandmother's, and the apple strudel was delicious. We felt very safe regarding COVID, as there was only one table per room, and the service was outstanding. We will definitely be returning! See you next time!

This charming little restaurant in Sunridge, Ontario, is a must-visit if you're looking for a cozy atmosphere and some delicious schnitzel. Everything I tried was fantastic, and I had the chance to sample some new dishes. I highly recommend saving room for dessert—it's absolutely divine! Also, if you love a strong cup of coffee, be sure to try the Austrian coffee. I would definitely return to explore more items on the menu. I really enjoyed the ambiance, the service, and the food overall.

We had an amazing meal! While we were camping in MikiSew, we were looking for a nice dining experience, and this place did not disappoint. The portion sizes are enormous—almost too much to eat in one sitting—and the food was absolutely fantastic, with a truly authentic Austrian/German flavor! The chicken strips that our 8-year-old ordered were hands down the best I've ever tasted. I enjoyed the Devil’s schnitzel, which was incredibly delicious. Our 7-year-old chose the Dust Pan dish, which was perfect for their age—totally impressive! Our server was excellent, too.

I took my wife and her Austrian family to this restaurant and was blown away by how authentic the ambiance and food was. Incredibly delicious meal, great service, COVID safe, and Wilfried, the very friendly owner, took the time to come speak to us. Highly recommended if you're anywhere near Muskoka.

Wow just, wow! This place is just amazing. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you are in a time warp. The food is absolutely fantastic and the staff is very nice. I absolutely recommend you visit them if you are in Sundridge.
