Starbird Chicken - Sunnyvale

I always order the Thai Chicken Salad and House Fries with Truffle Aioli sauce! It's so delicious and perfect for splitting this meal into two portions.FOOD [5/5] Thai Chicken Salad [5/5]Comes with two sauces, some sort of spicy red sauce a thick creamy sauce. They are both equally delicious! The salad comes with a great portion of greens and chicken. The chicken is always cooked really well crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside. House Fries [5/5]The fries themselves are pretty good quality but the SAUCE!! Amazing! It's super delicious and doesn't have an overwhelming truffle flavor.

This restaurant specializes in quick, fast food with a focus on fried chicken. I have tried their food for takeout, dining in, and delivery. My suggestion is to either pick up the food or dine in if you have the time. The fried chicken is especially delicious when served hot. I also recommend trying their fries - I always end up getting an extra order to share with my roommate. Some of my favorite items from the menu include the Cobb salad, the tenders box, and, of course, the fries!

Came here because they advertise gluten free fried chicken. I asked the staff about the menu as I noticed that their chicken wings aren 't marked as gluten free nor are their churros, but their chicken nuggets, tenders and fries are marked as gluten free. I have Celiac and depend on accurate information to make safe choices when eating as I can consume NO gluten whatsoever. Not even a crumb.The staff completely struggled through answering if they used a shared fryer or not. The fries are cooked in a shared fryer with churros. Cooking fries in the same fryer with the oil that has been used to cook churros is like claiming that cooking pasta in water used to boil shellfish is safe for people with a shellfish allergy. The staff member said if he had Celiac he wouldn 't risk it.This same staff member said that they use a shared fryer but the chefs do something to make it gluten free, which is simply not possible unless they 're changing the oil and scrubbing down the fryer between orders, which isn 't a thing. Another staff member chimed in saying that they use a shared fryer for the wings and the tenders, but that it 's okay because they cook the wings in the morning first. What? Not only would that guarantee that the oil is contaminated, they 're precooking wings?Either this restaurant is falsely advertising gluten free items (people who can 't consume aren 't friendly to gluten) putting people who need to eat gluten free for medical reasons at serious risk of injury, or this restaurant has completely failed in training their staff how to explain their product and their safety protocols to customers. I actually love to eat salad from Starbird Chicken for years until 2022. Here was what happened.I ordered a salad from them using Grubhub, and my wife went to the restaurant and took the order they made. My wife just came to the USA within a year and still not too good at English so she showed whoever was there the screen of what I ordered. The staff handed her the wrong Salad.Between busy working schedule, I opened the salad box and wanted to enjoy my dinner. I then found out that it 's not what I ordered, and I drove back to the store. I asked someone to took care of the food, and my face was angry but I didn 't say anything bad out of my mouth. After I got my order, I was about to leave. There was a man with tattoo telling me that I should not have any manners on this order or other staffs, and tell me you do your job, and we do ours. you can go now. It 's ridiculously bad manners. Someone just came to me without knowing situation.I was in such a shock. I mean, first of all, my wife showed them the order name. Secondly, I was the one who ordered and was not the one took it, and I drove all the way back to get my order. Is this discrimination to my wife because she couldn 't understand English? She showed the phone with the order name and salad name to you people, and now you ask me to do my job? What should I do? Shouting at a customer that did nothing wrong like your store? Why do you insult me in public because of the fault your restaurant made? Why didn 't you understand the whole thing because you speak?I couldn 't handle this onsite because I had works to handle. When I asked for an apology from that staff to the manager later using the phone, they rejected and stating that staff was having a bad day. I mean, it 's alright to have a bad day, but you should apologize to those who you affected, isn 't it?I still remember the day I got insulted in the public was at 6pm on Aug 16 of 2022.

Love chicken love this place!Think I'll pass on the Nashville Fries next time tho. The tenders and salad were amazing!!
