Chorizo breakfast burrito is pretty great here. We love the chipotle salsa/crema with it!
The Super Burrito, Chimichanga, and Giant Quesadilla are enormous—definitely enough for two meals. I had the Birria in the Giant Quesadilla and Al Pastor Pork in both the Super Burrito and Chimichanga, and everything was delicious.
What happened? There must have been a significant change in ownership or the kitchen. I've been eating at this neighborhood favorite for years, but tonight's DoorDash order was on time and hot, yet it tasted awful! The flautas had a noticeable flavor of old frying oil, and the chicken soup was as salty as the salt ponds in the Bay Area. I ordered the seven seas soup, not carrot soup! There’s nothing redeemable about this meal. I really need to find a Mexican restaurant that cares more and offers authentic food. Los Tres Potrillos is definitely not living up to expectations!
You have to try the Birria in any dish—it’s amazing! The carnitas plate is loaded with generous portions of meat. The salsa and cream that accompany it are absolutely delicious. Plus, the green salsa and chips are the perfect finishing touch!
