Big's Diner - Superior

This place is really great. The food is excellent I give you 100.

Service from the young waitress was FANTASTIC! Something you don 't see very often... So kudo 's to her! BUT the food was somewhere between barely ok to not good depending on the item (all breakfast items). At our table we had an order of French toast which had ZERO brown/griddle marks. Not sure how it was cooked to not have any marks on it but it wasn 't toasted tasting either. Basically bread and syrup. I ordered an omelette which was ok... Not great but ok... but my hash browns were not edible. They were dry and crumbly... Yet not crunchy like a great griddle or Skillet will make them. Odd is the best way to describe them, again not sure how they were prepared. My son had biscuits and gravy... Again not very good. He in fact didn 't want to eat them but I insisted. Biscuits weren 't all that good... Very dense then they were covered by a sausage gravy clearly made from a dry packet or something. I tasted it just to make sure he wasn 't being a picky kid... It wasn 't just him. I will say that Diner is nice and clean, the menu has great choices (if they work on how those items are actually made) and the prices are VERY reasonable! Hopefully the owner/Manager will take this review for what it 's intended as genuine feedback from someone who wants them to succeed. You 've got some really great things going on (like the young waitress) but need amp up the game on the simple staples of the breakfast items. As things stand I 'd probably pass on going back and head to the other place in town

Great food with excellent service! Fabulous breakfast and lunch choices my fave is the Philly Browns (add a couple eggs). And don't forget the cinnamon rolls.

Nothing extravagant, but the food is good and the prices are reasonable. My husband and his brother really enjoy it! It tends to get quite busy on Sunday mornings. They serve breakfast and lunch.
