Madame Nhu Surry Hills

Madame Nhu has this dark and mysterious vibe that I really enjoyedI love all the funky and playful decoration.

I've been walking past this place so many times over the past year and it's not till a couple of days ago that I decided to try it.

I had a long relaxed dinner here with a friend and we both loved the foodThe mini banh mi were great as was the prawn and pork vermicelli salad.

The Pho I had was good .... but you can get better in Sydney for cheaper.The wait staff were not particularly pleasant and the restaurant charges an outrageous $25 corkage on our byo.Not sure what their overpriced house wines are like but the extra $25 on our cheap & cheerful $10 byo made the average mid week meal **** value.If they want to charge like a fine dining experience then the staff need to lift their game considerably.

Do not recommend, unless you want to be ripped off! Was charged an extra $4.50 for only 2 prawns. Staff were not receptive to feedback and were hostile. Very disappointing and far too over-priced for such a competitive cuisine. Definitely better alternatives around!
