Sushi Suma Surry Hills

This Japanese restaurant generally meets expectations for Japanese cuisine. The tempura was fried perfectly and the sushi was decent (it may have been better if I had ordered the fish sushi). The combination set was a good deal overall.

I recently tried this restaurant for the first time and I can confidently say that I have found my new favorite place for sushi! I was amazed at how affordable the sashimi was. I highly recommend checking it out for yourself!

This restaurant is conveniently located near my home, and I discovered it through a "cheap eats" list where it is known for its generous portions and delicious food. My boyfriend and I were very hungry, so we ordered the sashimi main, tempura main, chicken teriyaki main, and the soft shell crab special. Everything was incredibly delicious, and the portions were generous. We ended up spending about $35 per person and we could barely move afterwards because we were so full. We will definitely return to try the udon noodles next time! Also, it's worth noting that this restaurant allows you to bring your own wine. Overall, everything was delicious!

Food: sushi suma have been open in a small shop of Surry Hills and make sure you always make a booking before you go as the place are always packed with people. Food portion is huge and quality is good. You could always order one to share with your friends. Takeaway is not as generous portion as eat in. <br/ <br/ Service: not for fussy people. Super affordable! They also split the sashimi platter we ordered in half so it’s split evenly between me and my friend. The salads are MASSIVE and pretty cheap! They also give complimentary agedashi tofu!
