Drostdy - Swellendam

Great food and atmosphere in the restaurant which is part of the museum. Well worth a visit but booking a must as people were being turned away all evening it was so busy. Try the trio of deserts.

A friend who owns a guesthouse in Swellendam recommended that we visit the Drostdy Restaurant and we are so glad that we took her advice. The staff are friendly and helpful, the menu is varied and the food was delicious and attractively presented. There were people of all ages sitting inside and outside. Prices for food and wine were very reasonable. We are already looking forward to a return visit in March 2018

Fabulous view, great service, wonderful atmosphere and FANTASTIC food. Wish we could have visited more often. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience. We will return as soon as we can.

I simply loved the setting. The manager and her staff are superb. The food is well presented and prepared and simply delicious. The prices are comparable to your normal chain restaurants and the quality is by far superior.
