Kang-chon Korean - Sydney

The restaurant charged $12 for a small side dish. It was very salty and the orders were also mixed up. There were no utensils provided. The waitstaff was friendly, but the overall service was disappointing.

The portions were smaller than expected and the service was mediocre. There were no napkins or utensils on our table, and we had to ask for water and sauces separately. The restaurant was busy in the evening, which is usually a good sign, but when our dishes arrived it was clear that there had been some miscommunication. It seemed like the restaurant catered more towards tour groups, with employees quickly serving them while locals were left waiting. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

Misleading exterior signage The prices displayed outside the restaurant are significantly lower than what you are actually charged once seated. Despite this discrepancy, we decided to order anyway. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre and the service was lacking. For a better dining experience, we recommend trying Homaru or Mokoji, both of which offer delicious food and excellent service.

Worst service!!! Before i ordered i asked the waitress if the bibimbab would be still cooked in a stone pot if I did take away. She said yes even though I asked her twice to clarify. After waiting for 20 minutes to put together rice and vegetables she gives me a cold bibimbab and after asking her to fix it she asked for another $2 unbelievable. Never coming back.

This lil' Korean restaurant is tucked away amongst the array of half-empty restaurants in Newington. I find this food district in general is built for the locals to dine at. We stumbled onto this place because it was one of the few restaurants that opened late on a Sunday night. The place was half full and we were the only non Korean diners there at the time.... always a good sign. My wife had the Fried Kimchi and Beef in the Hot Stone Pot. I love how their food comes in the hot stone pot as it keeps the food warm but you need to be more careful not to burn yourself while eating.
