Our waitress was very attentive, despite the crowd. The kids enjoyed their chicken fingers and BBQ chicken dinner, while the M and M sundae and mini brownie dessert were hits for dessert. The adults ordered a tasty beef dip and a slightly dry philly steak sandwich. We would definitely return next time we are in Sylvan Lake, especially since kids eat free on Friday evenings.
Not all that appealing inside. Seems as though the food tastes the same, no matter what you order. Slow service, especially coming out from the kitchen.
Today, I visited Humpty's for breakfast because my post-Piloxing meal was burned to a crisp by someone. Honestly, I had never heard of this place before.
I really enjoy the vintage decor of the restaurant. The jukebox adds a fantastic atmosphere and I have a soft spot for nostalgic elements. The servers were very friendly and attentive.
Met two friends for breakfast. After being seated and waiting for the waitress to return who reappeared after 10 minutes, one ordered eggs Benedict on waffles. They were ok. The other guy ordered a scrambler (bowl). He barely ate half of it. I ordered the breakfast wrap. It consisted of a wrap (bought) shell, egg and bits of ham. No cheese. Tasteless. Yet about $14.00. The place was about 1/4 filled when we got there. I see why now. Extra treat, there's a big candy store when you enter the restaurant. Why? Who knows? But then again it might be about the only place that offered tasty food. Weird to say the least. Gordon Ramsey could not save this place.
