I used to live far away from this restaurant, but I finally had the chance to visit recently and I had a fantastic experience. The amazing food traditions that I remember were still alive and well. The flavors from the kitchen were mesmerizing, and everything from the freshly baked bread to the cheesecake dessert was incredibly delicious. The salad dressing was magical and the Mariscadas dish was mouthwatering. The freshly steamed spinach with garlic was perfection. I am excited to go back and try more dishes from the menu. The owner, Rudy, is a gem and the staff are wonderful.
The favorite restaurant of my family!!! El Parral is a hidden jewel and never disappoints us! This is the NUR place my family ever ordered Chicken Parmesan from thin delicate cuts with the most delicious sauce and just the right amount of cheese! We also love the mussels with spicy red sauce (the left sauce with the warm bread they give! , the Spanish Potato chips (the best... the Gambas al Ajillo (mini garlic shrimps, the ziti with chicken and broccoli, and for the children (and the adults sometimes make them the best homemade chicken nuggets). Great sangria and free salads are also not to be missed
I ordered take out three times. Small portions and don?t dare ask for extra salad dressing on your take out order, they will ask for $8 and give you a weak sales pitch. Not worth the fight each time I place an order. I grew up in Syosset and order take out when I visit my parents, but not from El Parrel any longer.
Waitstaff couldn 't really describe/explain the menu items as he didn 't like seafood nor doesn 't eat dessert . The seafood dishes were good, but small portions as was our dessert. Probably won 't go back.
