Backwoods Crossing - Tallahassee

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit it took me so long to visit this place, but I finally made it! I brought my parents here for lunch, and I was blown away. We started with the catfish bites appetizer, which had the perfect amount of heat paired wonderfully with the cheese grits. Each of us ordered crab cakes in different forms: a salad, an appetizer, and the stack. Every single one was absolutely delicious! I really enjoyed my meal, and the service was excellent. They have about six beers on tap; while only one was a variety I preferred, I appreciated that they were all unique and interesting rather than just the usual options. We even explored the back garden and got to see the bunnies and chickens. It was a very enjoyable dining experience, and I can’t wait to come back!

Overall, it was an amazing experience! I absolutely loved the crab cake salad, and the cocktails were fantastic. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere and vibe of the place were delightful. The steak sliders were a bit challenging to eat without utensils, but they were delicious nonetheless. The deviled eggs were just okay. This is a great spot, and I would definitely come back! There are so many more items on the menu that I want to try.

This is a delightful little gem of a restaurant! The parking is spacious and finding the front door is a breeze. We were warmly welcomed and seated promptly by a friendly young lady. Our water was brought to us quickly, and our drink orders were taken soon after. The appetizers arrived hot and fresh—those crab balls were delicious! The pork-stuffed chicken was enormous and tasted fantastic, and the filet mignon was cooked to perfection. We will definitely return if we find ourselves in this area again!

Absolutely loved the appetizers. Mostly the stuffed crab balls. I got a cajun pasta, the chicken seemed like it could have used some more seasoning, but overall nice place to eat. This is my 3rd time eating here. 1st time eating dinner here. I would definitely go back for the crab balls and catfish! ????

I love that the menu changes often like Food Glorious Food. The only thing that I didn?t like was with the Garden Creations is that with whatever I didn?t want or didn?t like I couldn?t exchange it for something else. So I would?ve paid the same price. Overall beautiful setting. I went with my sister waited about 30 minutes to be seated. Service was quick and prompt. The waitress was a sweetheart.
