Really like the buffet idea and once went there for lunch many times a week, but more recently discovered there really is something weird with the way they prepare meat.. especially pork dishes often have some very weird taste that shouldn't be there. maybe it's the mass production in huge quantities, don't know. then again some other things are really good.
Coffee is bad due to subpar beans, tastes over-roasted and dusty . Otherwise OK
Service was welcoming. With other customer photos, I thought the buffet would have a variety of dishes, but they didn't. Only common European home dishes such as buckwheat, ascent, potatoes, chicken, pigs and some salads. I tried different things. Some were good, like baked vegetables, some were not, like potatoes were too salty. Probably a cheaper place for employees, but I wouldn't just go there for the buffet.
It's the cafeteria in the National Library. Ateast one reviewer said they couldn't find it to access it, you enter the main doors of the library and turn left it's at the end on the right. There are signs for it all around the library complex, which can be confusing. It's got a neat library vibe lots of books, and quite capacious. There is a hot and cold buffet where you pay by weight, plus there is soup (which I did not try . There are no English labels for the dishes, so non Estonian speakers have to guess what each item is (it *is* in the *Estonian* National Library! There is also a separate coffee and wrap counter by the door. I have only tried it once so far, and it was fine. The meat (beef? stew had an odd taste (so maybe it was not beef?!
