The Allotment Cafe - Tameside

I visited this restaurant on a freezing cold day when their pipes had frozen, but despite that, the staff gave us a very warm welcome and served us delicious coffee and cakes. We had a little trouble finding the cafe due to lack of signage, so I would recommend adding some clearer signs. Despite this, I will definitely be returning and wish the new management all the best!

I used to think this restaurant had the best vegan breakfasts, but it seems like they no longer offer them.

This was our first visit since the restaurant came under new management. Unfortunately, neither of the staff members could provide a clear explanation of the cake options, and the service was a bit slow. However, the cakes and coffee were delicious.

Had seen a sign for the Allotment Cafe on a walk which took us onto the canal. Needs to be changed to make it clearer that it is in the mill complex. Tried it today for the first time. Pre-made sandwiches choice of two and soup, lots of baked goods which looked delicious and various drinks. Informed our sandwiches would come in take out box at the moment as cafe under new ownership. Picnic style benches outside and cosy seating inside which they didn't mind that we sat at. Good luck to the new owners, will be interested to see how the cafe develops but will certainly call again, great half way stop on our walk.

Brilliant place, gutted the food is not being served at the moment. Please come back with later opening hours, drinks licence, and plenty of vegan options on menu. Thanks!
