Jotoro - Tampa

I really enjoyed the queen, along with the guacamole and salsa. However, I wasn't fond of what I ordered—the deer dish and margarita—despite them being recommended by the server. While she was kind, her service didn't go much beyond that. We sat on the terrace, which turned out to be too chilly; I would have preferred to sit indoors. Also, the food cooled down quickly.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner outdoors near the hockey arena. The food was excellent, although the music was a bit loud.

The service and drinks were great. We ordered the chips with queso which was very good. The fish tacos were tasty and Mexican corn. The Korean bbq and steak tacos were ok, not what we expected. Maybe I’ll try the burritos next time.

The food was good and HUGE portions! I loved the colorful ambiance!

This was our 1st time visiting Jotoro. We were able to get a reservation the same evening. Anyone living in Tampa knows that can be hard to find these days. So, we thought we would try Jotoro.. I had the ahi tuna tacos. They were amazing. My husband had the burrito with steak. In place of heavy rice, they have beans and cabbage. Mine had large pieces of ahi tuna. Fresh tortillas. This is not the normal poor heavy sauces over Mexican food to make it taste better. This was fresh and very much like California style Mexican. I've lived in LA. I know the difference. It's not Tex Mex cuisine like most Mexican establishments in Tampa. I highly recommend Jotoro!
