Lingfield Park Resort - Tandridge

I had a better experience on my recent visit to this restaurant, and the package deal was a great value. It was a lovely day, and there were plenty of families enjoying their time during half term. The food and drink options were a bit limited, but they were okay. My main issue was that it was difficult to get a high enough vantage point to properly view the racing.

Had meal at Trackside restaurant which we chose for view of the racecourse, which was fine. The staff at the restaurant and generally were lovely but that doesn't make up for the rip-off £211 for 2 people in the restaurant. My soup was lukewarm, the sea bass like rubber and the blackberry and apple crumble had no fruit in it. My wife's meal was similarly disappointing. Won't be returning.

We had a wonderful afternoon/evening celebrating my daughter's birthday. In our opinion, paying £32.50 for a jug of diluted Pimms was quite expensive. The ABBA tribute band was a bit disappointing as the vocals were difficult to hear. Despite these issues, we still had a great time overall.

Attendance at the meeting was poor and the weather wasn't kind. However, as we were based in the Trackside restaurant, we had a lovely day out. We had fitted in a round of golf at Lingfield Park on the day before and I have to say the course and the facilities were superb.

We purchased a raceday package from Buy a Gift, which included entry, a programme, and a drink voucher. The food options were limited, but we enjoyed a Lincolnshire sausage in a roll with onions. The drink voucher allowed us to get a pint of beer and a small bottle of wine at the grandstand. My mum even won £23 from a £1 each way bet on the first race, her first time betting! It was a fun day out, but the grandstand bar needs more seating as there was nowhere to sit between races. My mum is in her 70s and I have a back problem, but overall we had an enjoyable day.
