Despite a good antipasto they were so slow that I had to ask for the bill after had been waiting for every maincourse thirty minutes.

Unexpected quality can be found in the old town of Taranto. It is a small and family place, with its own butcher shop. The food is very good quality and the prices are extremely reasonable, with 9eur for the main dishes that are refreshingly different from your typical pasta, and are based on beef/meat. All we had was delicious
