Soul Beach - Tarifa

Does anyone know if this beach bar is opening in 2016? We really love it there but it was closed last year.

Before you read this review, you should know it gets a very good rating for reasons other than the food. If you're going to Tarifa, you should be ready for very few beach restaurants. It's not like the Costa Del Sol where although many of the restaurants aren't great, at least there are several from which to choose. In the case of Tarifa, you're in for very few choices on the beach. Soul Beach is about it when it comes to beachfront dining. The view is ridiculous. From the open air dining room, you can see 100 yards of white sand beach, beyond which is the Strait of Gibraltar and the northern coast of Africa. It doesn't get much cooler than that. So what will I say about Soul Beach. They play some fun 80's music, they serve cold beers and good mojitos, and as long as you stick to the basics (french fries and gazpacho) you'll be fine. After all, you didn't drive all the way to Tarifa for killer food; you came here for the ridiculous beaches, so drop the attitude, have a cold beer and enjoy the view.

I love the music here! It's perfect to relax to which enjoying a good few drinks, ice cream or a bite to eat. I've not actually eaten here because I've always been too busy playing around on the slack line or volleyball net that's outside! Great place if you like relaxing on or by the beach.
