I just visited our amazing local bakery half an hour ago. I picked up some hot cross buns and a punnet of wedges to snack on while waiting to get home. I was so eager to get home for the real reason I went out, but I couldn't help but enjoy the deliciousness of the buns. Just thinking about the melted butter and that wonderful cinnamon flavor makes my mouth water! I’ve only ever bought hot cross buns from the supermarket before, but this year I decided to switch things up. Yum, yum, yum—definitely worth it! They make the best biscuits! During the holidays, we went back four times to get more. They also have a special offer where you can buy three packs for $20, which is a great deal. Plus, there are different flavors to choose from!

Convenient located bakery in heart of Fashion Island, Papamoa, Tauranga. Plenty of space to move about and vast array of baked goodies available, but quite pricey depending on your budget. Unfortunately, the steak mushroom pie I ate only just warm, not hot like I would have expected. The toilet only one needed a clean as cobwebs could be seen, and the hand soap dispenser had no soap. Very busy though and obviously well patronised, but may need a little lift in standards in areas.

Big Bake Bakery was good but my coffee cappuccino was not great. Too much milk. However, the food looks reasonably priced and they already have cakes for celebration occasions. We went on Saturday and we had to park in the Mitre Ten area. So, parking is a challenge when it is busy. We did not have to wait for long for our coffee
