La Mexica Cantina And - Tauranga

I had lunch at La Mexica Cantina today, and it was fantastic! I would give it a perfect 10/10 if Google allowed that, but I’m definitely giving it 5 stars. The prices were very affordable, and the portions were generous, so I was able to take home the delicious leftovers! Thank you so much, La Mexica Cantina!

This restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, and the food is truly delicious—plus, the margaritas are perfect! Since it was bad weather and a Tuesday night, we had the entire place to ourselves. We all decided to try something we had never tasted before, and we were definitely not disappointed. You can really feel the love that goes into the food. The dessert was fantastic as well. You must visit this place; you won’t regret it! There was hardly any wait time for our food or drinks, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Thank you for hosting us!

I went to la mexica and looked for something else in the night and it turns out that on Thursday evening they have free bachata classes. I met many people, I got a great time and found the fun I was looking for. it was such a great night. I recommend this place when they are new in tauranga and have no plans at night, this is a good one. next time, I'll probably go early to enjoy the food.

The food was delicious and the restored owner and cooked is welcome and made sure that we were very enthusiastic after that. the best Mexican dishes I've ever had.

Highly recommend. Amazing generously portioned kai, great prices and amazing chef!! The waitress is very friendly but needs to learn a bit more professionalism and get familiar with the menu as she was unable to help with any of our queries about the food. She also made a mistake with our order which they kindly gave us for free. I'm assuming she is new so I'm sure she will be great once she gains some experience.
