El Gordo Real Mexican Grill - Tempe

My go to Mexican restaurant! My fave is the Johnny burrito. The best breakfast burrito!! It apos;s always fresh and I love that they make their chips guacamole nacho style. They also have some of the best horchata churros.

That chimi looks real good!! But, thats about all it is... Looks! Taste was lackluster in the seasoning department. Beans were definitely canned. The rice looked good but tasted like it had been soaking in water.

The pollo asado burro was excellent. However, the chips and guac were okay. Id recommend putting the guacamole in a separate container because most of the chips that the guacamole were on were so soggy.

Descent Mexican food. Tasted a little wash out. A little marinating and seasoning go a long way. A little tooo much onions in everything. Price ok. Great when you have a good head change. I definitely see potential.
