La Macelleria - Teneriffe

This is an authentic Italian gelateria in Teneriffe We tried the chocolate, nocciola (hazelnut) and caffe mandorla (coffee almond).

I feel like dessert places get easy high ratingsMaybe that just reflects what a valuable part of life dessert is.

This place is AMAZINGAfter spending so much time in Italy and particularly Florence, I was ruined for life in enjoying gelato again in Australia.

Proper Italian-style gelato. My only criticism is that it's pretty pricey, but you tend to expect that for high quality gelato. Definitely worth a visit!

So, after a lovely afternoon bevvy at Bitter Suite, Johnk2154 and myself decide to try La Macelleria again. Hubby had the Chocolate & Pistachio, while I tried the Tiramisu & the Crema Bologna. All I can say is YUM YUM YUM. Hubby like his Pistachio, but the chocolate was so rich and creamy. My Tiramisu was yummy too, but the Crema Bologna was amazing with the lemon subtley coming through the rich custard cream. I have definitely changed my mind, and it's definitely better than Gelato Messina & Gelateria Cremona in Rosalie. Now on to Hamilton to try Milani House of Gelato!
